Kids say the darnedest things...
So, my five year old goddaughter had informed me that she wanted me to screen print her a t-shirt for her birthday, but not just any t-shirt. No...she wanted a 'flying pony with lasers shooting out of his eyes.' Seriously. She said this. Obviously, this was a slick idea, so I delivered the goods. The design you see on your left is what I printed on her shirt (that's not my goddaughter pictured, btw.)
After sharing a picture of her final shirt on facebook I quickly had people telling me they wanted one. Could it be a had a local hit on my hands? I mean, after all the 'Mobil Oil Pegasus' is a special icon in the city of Dallas. Maybe with lasers coming out of its eye it's even more special!?!
The tee is currently available in two V-neck tee styles: black with white printing and white with red printing on super-soft vintage-feel cotton, because we don't skimp out on quality here! Tees are also available for women in S-XL, and for the boys in S-2XL. All of my tees are hand printed with durable, eco-friendly water-based inks.
I'll be taking pre-orders on this tee for the next few days through my Etsy shop (until I can figure out a better method on taking pre-orders.) Tees will run you $25 each (plus shipping) and will ship out by the end of August at the earliest. When ordering, simply state which color tee you want, as well as shirt size. (For the ladies I'm able to acquire tanks, if you prefer one of those instead of a V-neck tee. Be sure to indicate your preference in the customer notes during checkout.)
Napkin Art Studios' t-shirt line "Deathray of Sunshine" is getting its full-on revamp and rebirth (finally) this fall. I've been sitting on several tee designs over the last few months and I'm ready to share them with the world. As usual, all of my tees are hand printed and in limited edition quantities, exclusively through Napkin Art Studios! Below is an example of the styles available for this awesome 'Laser Pony' tee (click on image for a larger view.)
I owe my goddaughter mad props for asking me to make this shirt for her. I may just have to ask her to be my creative director for t-shirt designs if she keeps hitting ideas like this one of of the park, haha! Hope everyone enjoys this tee as much as I do. Look for more swell stuff coming at you soon.
